Welcome to the first day of flexion related lower back pain rehab program!
This video is suitable for the times when you are feeling intense, acute, irritable pain in your lower back. You might have had a recent injury/strain, some disk problems, or are just experiencing sharp pain that is flaring up.
The stretches and movements are very gentle. Follow the motto : ”little and often”, meaning do the exercises many times per day, especially when your lower back is feeling tense, stiff and when movement is restricted. Be careful to not provoke even more pain and move slowly!
Props needed: a rod/stick (can be a broom or curtain stick or an umbrella) and a step (you can use a pile of books or the bottom step of your staircase)
